Well I have had to finally say goodbye to my beloved Mars. I made the descision on Thursday night and she went to sleep finally on Friday afternoon.
It was one of the hardest things I have had to do in my life and the pain I felt and I am still feeling is just horrible. It was the best thing to do and I have had no regrets, she is no longer suffering and is up some where chasing rabbits once more. She was one of the most wonderful dogs I have ever known and will be very greatrly missed by us all.

Lucy I also said goodbye to my beloved bitch on Tuesday morning. Waking up with that cold feeling that she won't be downstairs when I get up is really hard to come to terms with and I'm still finding myself looking for her.
I know so much how you are feeling ... but I take comfort from the fact that I would not let her suffer. It was the one last thing that I could do for her.
Mars has probably tripped over her on the way into Rainbow Bridge - she always did like to lie in doorways!
