12mth old GSD female. Lives mainly outside during the day. Seems to be constantly scratching when indoors at night. No carpet fresheners used. Heating down to minimum to make her as comfortable as possible. Fed on Arden Grange but is fussy so is also given Eukanuba Puppy, tins of Butchers Tripe and raw green tripe. Deflea-ed about 5 weeks ago but nothing has changed.
Any ideas anyone? Would hyperallergenic food be the way to go? Which one is best? BARF is not an option.
Hoping someone can offer some advice.
Thanks in anticipation.

Firstly I would check for a re-infestation of fleas or any other exo-parasites to exclude them - then treat as an allergic reation - omiting one thing at a time to see the effect.

Can I ask, where abouts specifically (if specific sites?) with the scratching?
(For example stratching/ pawing at muzzle can idicate dental problems)
It seems to be general body scratching. I have checked her carefully for any red/soreness but (thankfully?) found nothing. I've checked AG website and see they offer a hypo-allergenic food. I might give this a try and see if it helps her. I hate to think she is suffering discomfort.
Thanks.
Hmmmm so after prolonged and more in-depth searching I have found what I presume is flea dirt on her belly and under her elbows.
She has now been Frontlined!
Fingers crossed it kills the pesky visitors!

a bit of garlic in her food might not go a miss either, the pesky blighters hate the stuff (vampire blood suckers :))
remember you'll need to de- flea the whole house.
