Topic Other Boards / Foo / Housing problems.....

This might be a idle chat topic but I have a housing problem and wondered if anyone here might know the answers. I have new neighbours, who seem to believe that living life to the full in the noisiest way possible is OK and they go on and on and on...... From dawn till well after dark.

There is a hole in my roof I have discovered. I kept wondering why I could feel a cold draft even though I have had all my double glazing put in and extra thick loft insulation and cavity wall filling. How long from hatching to flying the nest is it until starling chicks leave home? Is anyone else having birds nesting right now? Last night I had a new bird box put in my jasmine plant, (which is really a triffid in disguise), and today there are a pair of sparrows going in and out of it with bits of dried grass.

Do they live in private rented, Council or owned???
And this weekend is measnt to have the temperature drop again, so any nesting will stop. It has just been unseasonably mild so the birds think it is spring!!!!!!!

Well since these noisy neighbours are livingin my roof space and I rent my house privately I suspect they must be classed as my tenants, and I am subletting.... Wish they would pay the bloomin' rent though?! :-D

I have never known birds have chicks at this time of year either, and it is starlings! We have seen them going in and out of the hole. I was worried the chicks will not survive if the weather turns really cold as the weather men tell us it will over the next few days.
