I am not sure what you are asking us but I would say you need to take her to the vet asap.  A dogs interest can often indicate infection.

Make sure you take a urine sample with you. Dark urine is not healthy urine.

Are TTs very prone to kidney infections?

Georgina,

Hopfully your girl is already on the mend.  Going off food & a dog mounting her can be for a variety of reasons (including a phantom pregnancy).  Urine sample is the best way forward.  My old girl suffers from bladder stones & has since the age of 2 and a half.  My vet at the time kept trying to say it was cystitis but evenutally they scanned her & found huge stones.

Is she dehydrated?  Drinking alot etc.

Also check her anal glands (another joy my old girl suffered from, absesses around the anal gland which her son used as an excuse to mount her).

Keep us posted.

i am delighted to say she has her appetite back , last night she had a tin of sardines , chicken noodles mixed veg and  arden grange , i am also giving her cranberry juice , i've been ringing vet since early this morning for an appointment and there is no answer , if i dont get through today i am going to get my dad to bring a urine sample up to my usual vet in limerick tomorrow

Georgina
