Hi, Just wondered if anyone in Kent has their dogs titre tested, and if so, where and roughly how much? I've enquired at my vets and they want to charge me £60 per disease and while I'd do anything for my dogs, I've got 3 of them, and multiple tests x 3 = lots of money! I personally think the price they've given me is over the top... can anyone offer a comparison?

I think your vet has misread the charge sheet - although it costs a lot for each single test, lower down the page (which I can't find offhand) there's a combined test which is substantially less.

I haven't seen the price list, I just asked the vet while I was seeing her for something else. I think I'll give them a ring later and query it. I've just phoned a different vets and asked for a price, but they need to call me back as they don't know offhand... Think i'll phone round a couple more :)

The vet only needs to take a single blood sample to send off. The different prices are charged by the people who actually do the test (somewhere in Glasgow, I think).

This place charges £29.95 for the pre-booster test.

The cost using Glagow Uni is £25(+vat) per dog on top of this is the fee to the vets for taking the bloods

A different vet has just quoted me £24 consultation plus £80 for the test, per dog.
