This is something I have been meaning to ask for a while as I'm sure the knowledgeable folk here will have the answer.
Sasha my dog was chipped as a part of her petpassport.
As she was chipped outside UK, now if we lost her and they scanned her I believe they would find a chip that is not linked to anyone, anywhere...
Is there a way to get her chip "registered" here so that our details would come up?
Who should I contact regarding it?

Check with Petlog I'm sure they will be able to help you, whenever I have rung them they have been very very nice

I had 4 animals chipped outside the UK and had no problem getting them registered with PetLog.  I think they charged the same as a new chip as far as I remember.

I had my gang chipped in the UK and then brought them all out to Spain.  As soon as I arrived here I had them scanned by the vet, completed the appropriate forms and they are now all on the system here.  I assume that if we return to the UK I will just go through the same process again.

I have a general query regarding chips;

Do any chips offer a tracking device? I always thought that as well as identifying dogs by chips, you could track them if lost / stolen? Id be willing to pay the extra if this is available but not sure if it is?

I don't know of any that are also GPS tracking devices.
