I know a few people have used this implant on the boards and would appreciate any new feedback.

Is anyone on their second implant?  Can anyone feedback to me how the implant was done (pain for dog / shaving implantation site etc?

Anyone?

Moonmaiden may have done by now.  You could try a PM to her if she has not seen this.

Thanks Isabel

My Rjj is now on his second implant.

He is the ultimate coward at the vets & apart from him peeing himself(he always does this)he didn't react at all. No shaving. Like a big microchip implant really

I'm on my second chip.  A little yelp second time around but no reaction to the first.  It is just like being microchipped.

Was there any significant change in behaviour toward other males and interest in bitches.

I originally used the chip to try and resolve problems of two fighting males but sadly it didn't help and I wasn't going to have the second chip done.  But I noticed him getting feisty with my GSD of 20 months and thought to be prudent and have the second put in and I think it has helped.  He does very occasionaly hump my girl dachsie but that is about it.  Overall pleased with the results.

It has with Rjj, he only plays with Jessie now instead of trying to hump her at every opportunity. He tends only to put Wukee in his place when he is pushed rather than at least once a day. There is of course the er side effect of reduction in the size of the two smaller of his three boy bits LOLOLOLOL

I had tardac done a wk prior to the implant - this helped a lot as that exacerbation of hormones behaviour etc wasn't present, he even walks nicely on a coupling lead with his son despite bitches being in season at the min.  After 8 yrs of his ott sex drive its such an improvement just his normal barking not the frantic howling he normally does with the girls on heat, no more breaking cage doors, but he did take a bit of fur off his nose trying to get under the runs at them which is nowt compared to normal lol.
