Hiya x i was out walking my 3 dogs yesterday (not mya as she's a bit young yet x giving them their usuall 2 hour afternoon walk x my friend always comes with us too x she has 2 female GSD's xx
As we where walking round the park x we couldn't believe our eyes x there was a man out walking his dog on a choke chain x he was hitting the dog with it, dragging it along the path and also pulling the dog up with the neck (with the choke chain) xx
My friend and i here horrified and it was horrible to watch x we phoned the SSCPA and the police x The SSPCA took the dog and the police took the man away xx
Hopefully he will be charged with animal cruelty and also banned from keeping any type of animal from life xx

How awful!!!
Well done for reporting it though, hopefully the poor dog will now get the chance of an owner that deserves to have a dog.

Well done you, surprised that the authorities came out so quickly. Well done you!

Definately the wrong way to use a chain! Good thing you reported it, and hopefully the dog isnt going to suffer any effects from the chain being used this way.
If people are using chains, they need to know how to correctly use them. Goes for any collar really, but the chain is one of the ones that really needs some experience behind it to use it properly.
Hiya x as i said x we were really shocked!! xx
I have a whippet called Skye and i use a chain on him but the only reason i use it for walking is that i hate the look of a whippet collar and as some of yous might know trying to get a normal collar to fit a whippet is sometimes impossible as they have such thin necks xx
Skye does wear a normal collar though with his name tag on it x I would never use the chain in the wrong way xx

Well done! Thank goodness they came quickly enough to catch him.
I also hope you and your dogs are unknown to him and that you are safe. He sounds like he could be dangerous.
Agree, very well done to you for being so quick to take action!
I am very impressed the SSPCA and the police came so fast. Did you have local numbers for them or did you ring their HQ kind of thing? Did they see the man maltreating his dog?
Hopefully the dog will be free of him now and find a good home where he or she will be treated better!

That is absolutely awful for the dog but fantastic to hear such a positive outcome. Hopefully that will be the last time that men will ever do that to that poor dog and it also sends out a message to the community of dog owners that behaviour like that will not be tolerated
Well done you!!!
Hiya x we don't know the man x its the first time we have seen him and hopefully it will be the last xx
My friend phoned the police first and then the SSPCA x The police station is only 2 minutes rund the corner from were the park is so they got there really quick x The SSPCA, my friend phoned the HQ number but they came about 30mins later xx
As for the man being caught, since the police were only 2 minutes away, they managed to get a look at what the man was doing to his dog with the choke chain xx

its lovely to hear of the authorities taking action about something like this. well done to you and your friend :)
