Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / anyone in berriewoods delivery area?
- By roynrumble Date 04.12.08 10:45 UTC
hi there,we have just had the price of the frozen tripe we buy at our local pet shop go up from 62p per block to 84p per block in 2 days!! as our boy eats 3 a day obviously a big increase in price per month.we get our dry food delivered by berriewood via royal mail, but, as we live in west london, but they dont deliver in thier refridgerated van to our postcode.thier frozen tripe works out so much cheaper if we could buy it from them,is there anyone near london who would be able to take delivery of it if i order/pay for it and then could collect it fortnightly from you? otherwise we will have to drastically cut down the amount of tripe we buy which seems a shame as our boy has been doing so well on it.any help apreciated, roy.

Hi try prize choice tripe. minimum order 50 but it equals over 90 blocks of tripe and other goodies which lasts me over 2 months, I have found that berriewoods catchment area is incredibly small. You have to register on price choice and i am as a breeder. Do you have bordeaux too??? They also do the frozen hearts which my dogs LOVE and many other things although i have tried their dried biscuits and i dont rate them at all too much cereal. I had to buy a second hand storage freezer but it was 30 and its great. Really has saved me travelling to PAH every few days coz i dont have room in the freezer. I buy the standard tripe which is something like 18:50 for 40 blocks.

Hope you find it i struggled for a while but now i think they are a god send

Hi there, yes we have bordeaux! i tried prize choice they dont deliver to inner london, which is a shame as thats what our dogs were on ,pets at home our last stockist have decided not to sell tripe blocks singularly, instead only variety packs of 3 different types of mince.our local pet shop had forthglade tripe which i put our lot on and was 62p,but once they heard pah werent stocking tripe they put it up to 84p! berriewoods own tripe or forthglade tripe from berriewood works out saving over £20 a month for us which annually is a lot! if we can find someone in essex/surrey near to london that can have it delivered ,i can order it and we could come and collect it the same day its delivered.if we cant ill just have to cut the dogs tripe down and feed more dry which isnt ideal but hey... thanks anyway.roy.

Hi Louise, how much does it work out at from Prize choice ? I use prize choice from the petshop at the moment and pay about 50p - 60p per block (depending on what it is).

Also do you need to be a breeder with an affix ?
- By LouiseDDB [gb] Date 04.12.08 15:26 UTC
No i dont have an affix, its works out at 47p per 454g of standard tripe ( prize choice tripe which is 400g for 43p) extra 50g for 4p so i get standard tripe. Also it isnt so compressed and its far easier to mix into biscuits ( i know that doesnt make much difference lol, but it doesnt take as long to defrost either)

Hope this helps

I get 40 blocks of standard for £18.82 so to make it up to £50 or more i get either 120 (£56) blocks or 80 blocks and frozen hearts whatever takes my fancy. Hearts are 2kg bag for £2.74 xx

Hi

Carol and Adrian from Shimano Dogues live in surrey horley it is. I think they feed their lot on tripe, so give them a ring and see if you can get it delivered to them and pick it up. Also steve Cox Rayvonley Mastini lives in Essex, im sure he feeds his dogs tripe too so give him a ring. Were all molosser people so im sure they wont mind if you ask nicely. Steves dogs are gorgeous, but make sure you dont get one before me!
