Hi, hope somebody can answer a question that I have, may seem a stupid question, I have some venison bones that I got for Floyd.  However, when I did get them there were quite a few and at the time without thinking I put them in the freezer without splitting them up, obviously he now cannot have all these bones at once, can I re-freeze them? or is it the same as it is for humans that once you have frozen and defrosted you cannot re-freeze.

I've done this - I just dropped the frozen bundle of bones on the floor and they came apart, so I took the ones I wanted and put the rest back.  Mind your toes :)

and your shins lol.. from experience I can tell you.. they bounce :-P

Sorry, I didn't think to drop them on the floor, they are now defrosted, so if I can't re-freeze, my friends dogs are also going to be very happy.

I have refrozen bones for the dogs without any problems and also meat for them. I give recreational bones straight from the freezer and when the dogs have finished with them for the day the bones go into a bag and back into the freezer ready for another day.

Thanks Harley, back into the freezer they go, singular this time, Floyd just about eats all his bone, he has been outside for a couple of hours this morning, throwing it around and chasing it before sitting down to demolish it.

I do this too - take them out the back and drop them on the slabs. :)
