I would imagine a few of you have read this Alice Seabold book well I've just been wasting time reading msn & it's been made into a film, think it comes out in April.  Looks to be some good films out next year Marley & Me in March, this & Transformers sequel in August.

Oh no!  It was a horrible story, but I couldn't stop reading it.

Yay to Transormers!  I'm a big kid :-)  I'm just waiting for them to do a Thundercats Movie.

Thunder, thunder, thunder, thundercats...hooooooo!

That would be very very cool!

That was such a sad book.  I've not read a book quite like it.  But it was so well written wasn't it?  Wouldn't it be lovely if the 'afterlife' was as described in that book (ie. customised for each person).

Interesting -now I can't quite imagine HOW they will do it, would have thought that story would be very difficult to film. I hope it follows the book, I was SOOO disappointed when I saw the film of "PS, I love you" -what rubbish, everything in the book had been changed, even the country it was set in.

I am not a reader as such. I could tell you on two hands the books that have caught my attention ( I know by the first chapter if I am going to be captivated by a book) but the lovely bones was one that I was hooked on. wow a film would be a tearjecker.

I read 'The Lovely Bones' just after my mother died three years ago and I can't tell you how much comfort it gave me (even though deep down, I knew it was just fiction)

What did you think of Wall-E?? I was disappointed :-(

It kept my two great nieces that I was visiting quiet (2 &5) whilst I cuddled Ruben (18 weeks I think). I'll try actually getting to watch it uninterrupted by " wee wee's" every half hour!! plus a son who did hold Ruben for half an hour who puked on him, which meant he went hystrical and started to vomit - son aged 23!! pathetic male!!!!! My all time fav is still Rain Man though.

I've tried to find an official trailer for this film but haven't been successful so far, I think I read somewhere it was a relatively unknown cast other than I think Mark Whalberg.

Couldn't agree with you more Marianne, I was so disappointed with the screen adaption of this, it is such a good book but the film lets it down, I haven't enjoyed any of Ceceila Ahern's other books though!

Best adaption of book to film IMO was Kite Runner, true to the book & very very good!

I read a rumour a few months back that The Time Travellers Wife was also being made into a book by Brad Pitt's production company - now that would be hard to transfer to screen!

I'm reading The House at Riverton at the moment by Kate Morton & would highly recommend it, it's very very good!
