hello all, just joined. I think my dog has a cold she has a runny nose and is sneezing all the time. Last night she did cough a few times (nothing extrime) but i have been reading a bit on here, and i have seen that some member use childrens benylin. So what i wanted to know is how do i work out the dose and how often should i give it to her.
Thanks

When my dog had what seemed like a cold I used benylin as well. I used the lower dosage for a young child as I was worried I would give too much and it seemed to work ok. But there are others on here with a lot more experience so someone else will probably be able to give better advice.
Hope she gets well soon.

It could be kennel cough, so you will need to keep an eye on her, benelyn (the childrens one) can help and if she is no better in a couple of days then she is best seeing the vet. It's worth remembering not to mix her with other dogs if it is kc.

I use paediatric benylin and give a dose for the age of child something equivilent to the dogs size if you follow me.

thank you all for your replys, i have decided to take her to the vet later on today. She hasn't eaten today and wont do anything just wants to stay upstairs on the bed, she wont even go out. I think i will feel better if i get her checked over.
