Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Supplements to raw food

I have fed raw for a while now and it totally agrees with him which is a good thing.
My concern is that he doesn't like fruit or veg and in no way can i get him to eat it. He is therefore lacking in certain vitamins and minerals.
Can anyone suggest what supplements would be beneficial to him and also what companies to get them from.
I have pondered on pills/powder or liquid and i'm not sure which would be the easiest to get him to eat.

Thanks

Would your boy maybe eat fruit and veggies if you liquidised them and mixed in with the meat?

I feed raw and have done for nearly 3 years now. I don't feed supplements at all and my dogs do not have fruit and veg on a regular basis - they sometimes get a carrot to chew on or the trimmings from any vegetables I am cooking for us and possibly any leftovers but that is rare. As long as you are feeding meat, offal and bone from a variety of species and in the correct ratio your dog's dietary requirements should be fully catered for.

I've tried liquidising it up with meat, he sniffs it and then walks away.

He does get a variety of meats, bones and offal. Also cheese, goats milk and oily fish

It depends which route you decide tofollow barf which includes meat fish veg fruit dairy or raw meat bones which does need to include other than meat and fish. Have alook at the raw meaty bones website or ann ridyards book the dogs dinner website krisanrio.
These ar differeing views on raw feeding.Sounds like he is fine to me. I am using the raw meaty bones way after some research, wish mine would eat offal though he just plays with it whatever I do and stepping on a piece of offal is very slimy !!

One of ours doesn't like her veggies but I can usually manage to fool her by stuffing a chicken wing with an ice cube made from whatever veg I've liquidised.  Otherwise I add a squirt of oil (we use Hypercoat) and a good teaspoonfull of cider vinegar. Their coats and skins are fabulous!
