Hi, if you want to show then you should only buy a puppy from an exhibitor that regularly wins/does consistantly well at shows and preferably at Championship shows. Many people claim their puppies are show quality, but unless they are actually doing well with their own dogs it would be unwise to buy one that is "said to be show quality" from someone who doesn't show. search this site or others to find the Fox TerrierBreed Clubs ( or ring the KC for their numbers) and contact the secretary/puppy co-ordinator who may know of puppies expected. Often you will have to wait some time for a top quality puppy. If you really want to do well buy a puppy from one of the top 5 kennels, who are friendly and willing to help/encourage you in your showing venture. Visit Championship shows or the Breed Club shows if possible. The top exhibitors will all be gathered in one place and you can chat to them and find out if anyone has any promising puppies for sale, and who is likely to help you get started. One tip is, if you want to do well quickly, it is sometimes prudent to buy a dog puppy as the dog classes are generally less well filled - i.e. fewer to beat, or beat you for that matter!! Good luck.
