I have noticed at a few shows recently that some dogs had black markson their back legs which had no hair on.

Its specifically below their hocks on the pastern/stifle part, on the outer corners of their legs. The dogs I've seen it on are not related so its not genetic?

I wondered if it was pressure sores from being kennelled on concrete but surely only few dogs are kennelled on concrete these days (or maybe I'm just out of touch).

I'm not concerned or worried but just curious as to what these marks are!!!

Any clues?!
