Does anybody know what the best way to "administer" this to a dog?  It is quite an alcoholic taste on the tongue for a few moments so I don't know if I'll be able to prize open the jaws and I'm dubious as to how well it will work diluted in water and how much I'd have to get the dog to drink.  Could i try giving it with food?  Tried sereneum for a few weeks but not really made much of a difference.  Must say, tried it myself and i feel pretty calm :)

I dont know but would be very wary, I have tried some of these things with an alcholic type base and it causes me a migraine......

When I've used it in the past I've put drops directly onto the nose leather :)  It's rapidly absorbed, effective and unlikely to make them feel or actually be sick.

RR is also available in a mini spray bottle for dosing directly onto the gums or under tongue and if your dog is averse to that you could find adding to a little bit of toast/cracker liberally spread with pate makes things easier (but not if travelling to avoid nausea etc)

yes, I pop a few drops in the water daily on the run up to 'firework season'  :-(
If I'm giving a drop on its own as a top up if the dogs are really anxious then I just drop directly  onto the tongue - my boys really like the stuff!

we just open the mouth of the dog and spray it on the tongue... or do some retrieves with the dog.. or get him running around so he starts panting and spray it on the tongue when hes panting..

just wondered.....is this the Bach's rescue remedy you're talking about that you can buy in holland&barrett? i use this on myself, and an animal practicioner made me up a bach flower remedy for my very nervous yorkie,Dylan. it never made any difference to him, and just tasted like water to me! so i was wondering, if i could use the one i'd bought for myself on him?

Yes if its the bright yellow pack, if you read the leaflet inside I'm fairly sure it explains how to dose animals, none of my packs (car, kitchen, dog-box etc) have still got the leaflets.
At times I have sucked a dose up into the dropper and given it to me then another dose and given to dog, yes probably germy but I reckon the brandy base will get rid of most things

I just put  a few drops straight onto the tongue...

Take it myself (when flying) by the bottle full,  also used to give it to one  of my horses, (straight onto his tongue)  when travelling, as he was a bad traveler
