Topic Dog Boards / Health / Spaying following a Phantom

Hi all, I was hoping to get my girl spayed at the end of October as she has given me two lovely litters and I have kept back a gorgeous girl who, hopefully will pass her health tests and do well when I start showing her. My girl's last season was the end of July. She is prone to having phantom pregnancies with all the symptoms, nesting, caring for toys etc and the last time she produced milk as well. Although this time she hasnt shown any of the nesting, change in personality etc. she is now definitely producing milk which I noticed as she was licking herself a lot. How long should I wait now to have her spayed.? Obviously I want everything to have settled down so that the op will have no complications. Of course I will consult my vet but to be honest, sometimes I think you all have more experience in these things than some vets do and I want the best, of course, for my girl.
