Hi have had my girl lined a couple of weeks ago she had, had ovulation blood tests done so when she was lined she had ovulated, just wondered what you thought about having her scanned and at how many weeks do I have it done.

Thanks

I have seen this term used for I assume having a bitch mated?  why 'lined' what is the root of this term???

I am not too sure, but i think the term lined up, is as in booked up, So she was lined / booked up for her mating.
Forgive me if im wrong

Dont know where the term lined comes from but I have always thought it meant mated, maybe I am wrong ???

You are right, it does mean mated. :-)

Anyone know why, though? Just curious. And why having a bitch 'dressed' means having her spayed?

Yes I have wondered about the origins of both those terms which I had never heard before posting on CD.
