Hi,
Well did any of you watch silent witness wednesday and thursday night? It was very good, very truthfull. How the gangs that need "respect" would cream the young children with presents so they later owed them a debt. If they didn't shoot or knife who they were told to, it would happen to them. Heart breaking but! true, revenge attacks usally ending in death of young girls and boys. Girls having to be gang raped to join the gang. I was also pleased that they slipped in that the post mortem also showed one of the boy, also was alcohol syndrome. The only syndrome that is preventable, The mother who drinks excessively during pregnancy. That had made him special needs. She had never realised that he had a problem, only that he was a problem child. Very good. It opens your eyes even more. Not all for the best.

Denese - it was FICTION - it's a story - albeit one that may well be far too near the truth for comfort - but it is still fiction.

Unfortunately most if not all fiction is based on fact.  It was very very good, albeit horrible as well.  Unfortunately there are many people living in fear of gangs in the UK.

i watched it and it just confirmed all my feelings about cities and the types living there however what really concerned me was the use of the rottie and all the damage that will have been done yet again, to the breed becuase of the idots who decided to scipt it as a killer dog :( :(

We had better not let you read Dickens then :-D  Don't worry about it Sam, like the others said, this is fiction :-)

so are you saying that there are not gangs of unpleasant youths out there, using defenceless dogs as macho tools to intimidate others??
- By munrogirl76 Date 04.10.08 17:22 UTC
Where did I say that?

No, but we should not take a fictional television programme as evidence of how they may or may not impinge on ordinary peoples lives.

Hi Lokis mum,
It is not fiction, it is happening! Its very frightening, It was an excellent story line. So was the the information given to Alcochol Sydrome babys and children. I just hope some people took it on board.
My daughter has fostered two. Dreadfull sydrome.

Hi Sam,
Some of us are very nice who live in cities LOL. but! the inner cities are not so nice people, some, live in fear. I was born in a little village in Nottingham, Edwinstowe were they never used to lock there doors. My cusins would be more than shocked if the knew what happened in the cities. That is today!! Thugs! in the inner cities use, Staffs, Rotties, Dobermans, up to yet!! as weapons. I had seen a few weeks ago a Rottie took to the vets by the plolice. To be put to sleep or shot I think, if the vet could not get near it. It took a long while but! the vet injected him from behind. Heartbreaking he was a beautiful looking dog.
What is the answer?????
