Topic Dog Boards / Health / A cold?
- By aimibobs [gb] Date 02.10.08 07:17 UTC
My 7 month old pup has had the "snorts" for about 10 days and then yesterday sneezing thick green snot. This morning was alarming as I heard him wretchy coughing and came down to find blobs of thick froth. He even coughed a thick ball of froth onto me.

My dogs have been relativly free from colds over the years and just wondered if the green snot goes hand in hand with the froth when they get colds?

Thanks,
Aimi

Agree with Briedog.  Sounds very like kennel cough to me too, especially with the retching and the blobs of froth.

Dogs dont get 'colds' per say
...rather they suffer from upper respiratory infections like Bordetella bronchiseptica and Parainfluenza virus both in implicated in what is commonly termed Kennel cough.
