Can anyone advise on any tips to take a really nice photo of puppies altogether. I know this is not a breeding question but wasn't sure where to post. I have often seen cute pics of puppies with all their siblings in neatly arranged photos and as mine are older I would really like to get a lovely one of them altogether to keep. Any tips would be very much appreciated.
I have a beautiful pic of my dog as a pup in a wicker basket with his littermates. :-)
I think patience and bribes were used!! Someone to distract them is essential. You'll never do it all on your own.

This worked for me :)
Stand on top of a chair making ridiculous cooing/clicking noises until they are all looking up at you adoringly. Repeat until great photo achieved - please note, this could take some time! :)
Dangling sandwich chicken from your mouth also helps. (I was home alone when this "technique" was put in to practice - witnesses are still to come forward to have me sectioned)

Only to be put in to practice if you are home alone - or for those with a fear of heights, in the company of someone with a steady hand and sworn to secrecy! :)

Thank you for your tips. I will be trying suggestions out with curtains closed!!
All I can say is well done Mini, A++ for effort on it's way. :-)
I take a much easier route, when you handle the pups daily they know their breeder well, I simply get hubby and one of my sons to stand with a camera ready either side, call out the pups, get them to go to the place I want them to, as like little ducklings they follow me everywhere, then tell all camera holders to get ready, call them and squeak a toy and click, click from the camera's whilst squeaking the toy and speaking to them, boy you get some beautiful expressions. Pups love to look at the expression on their breeders faces it is what they are reacting to, when you have a camera stuck infront of your face they soon loose interest, they can not see your eyes, so I would always recommend getting someone else to take a photo whilst pups are reacting to you, especially for group shots.
Well done to those who do it on their own, it must be a nightmare.

Probably wise!!! :P

Patience, plenty of time, and a digital camera so you can take 50 or 60 pictures just to find one that's ok!
