Does anyone print their own breed club newsletters? I wonder whether it is economical to do it myself or at least design it & then get a print company to print it?

What programme do you use to print it?

Many thanks

Yes I do. We used to use a printing company but I now do it myself with a colour laser printer (not cheap but worth the price for what it can do). I used to print around 100 newsletters on an ordinary inkjet printer but that was incredibly slow and I wore out about 3 print heads in a couple of years. Whatever printer you use, you'll need it to do duplex (double sided) printing (automatically turning and printing on both sides) as otherwise you would have to do this manually which takes for ever! I use Microsoft Publisher to design and layout the newsletter.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I may have to look into laser printers then & consider printing them myself. At least then I know what stage they are at & there is only myself to blame!

I do our Newsclub newsletter, ours is usually about 36 a5 pages , we have around 500 members so to print it out, staple it yourself would take ages , then you can guarantee the damn printer breaks in the middle of it, plus you have all the ink to keep buying.
I now use a local printer who is brilliant and very competitive

If you PM me I will give u details of the costs etc...
