I don't know whether this is a health or show issue really.

I bought my Sheltie pup a month ago at 11 weeks.  She has very pretty deep set eyes and really is quite stunning (I think!).  However she has always had sort of little marks under under her eyes - not  enough to be called a discharge but there all the same.  Yesterday I took her to a little puppy show where there was a puppy walk.  She really loved it although she hasn't done anything like it before.  There were quite a lot of pups there and they selected the last 5 and then the winner. Isla didn't get anywhere but it was good experience.  However the marks under her eyes are quite noticeable and rather I would have said detrimental.  Has anyone else had this at all?  I think the vet might think I was daft to take her about it - but I am not sure.  In my dog book it says that a clear discharge can be caused by a blocked tear duct but both eyes are the same.  I have some eye wipes but they haven't done much.  She is by the way eye clear of the collie eye anomaly.

Wondered if anyone has had anything similar?  Just would like some advice.

Thanks

You should probably have her eyes checked by a vet to make sure her tear ducts aren't blocked or that there is nothing else going on there.
She might be teething which can make their eyes run, and it could be food colouring in her food which can cause the tears to be
stained or even certain minerals in your tap water can cause pink stains.

I don't use anything to remove tear stains as most of them are chemical based. I just live with it.
I find using rain water as their drinking water and feeding a raw natural diet too really does help.
