What part of a fish can safely be offered to a dog.

They have just had 1/2 a mackerel head each and loved it. I wont risk any more for a day or so just watch the results at the other end,

Considering humans can eat most of the fish, I am sure they wont have any ill effects!!!

Mine eat the whole thing......sardines, mackerel plus whatever they catch for themselves when the salmon are leaping.

I hope you don't get the result I got the first time i gave mine raw mackerel!! Una ate hers no bother but Cava wouldn't touch it and Zymi ate it and recycled it once, vomited it up again and Una had that!!

tio only likes pilchards or sardines, and them only if they are in tomato sauce :rolleyes:

Oh youlucky thing to live somewhere ypur dogs can catch fish for themselves. Croydon is not exactly the place for catching the type of food our dogs should eat !!

You'ld all be very welcome, but a tad disappointed as the salmon catching exploits happen about 400 miles north of where I live in Perthshire where I go to work the dogs! :-)

I thought Stormy boy had worked out his own fishing system. :-D
