Took the ferret (Weasel) and Tiva our boston to the vet lastnight...

Weasel both his hind legs are going and she thinks it may be a tumor of the pancreus (sp) with his age (6-8yrs) he may not even survive the surgery or it could be insulinoma so iam going to try a diet change and see if that helps him any at all- we are feeding him Nutro natural choice kitten food and a ferret food which was the only one I could find thats starts with meat- sorry don't remember the name. he still moves around and loves to have a cuddle and doesn't seem to be in any kind of pain so thats why we have chosen to try this- Emma our other ferret is still the same very happy go lucky, my poor son though he knows there is going to come a time we will have to say good bye to him- its hard to say how old they are cause they were givin to us about 5 yrs ago... Reading it says to give chicken baby food gerbar with the blue label-

Tiva well she still has her head off to the side and I noticed she has a rotten tooth which is hanging there so we are thinking that maybe causing her head tilt- So Iam going to try and pull her tooth today (its very loose) and if her head is still tilted after that then its blood work- she is on antibiotics now so i gotta get her tooth out- if i get the vet to do it then i have to do blood work straight away, teeth cleaning and thats running about 6 hundred and thats not including the extraction of the tooth- she said if she will let me then go ahead and pull it cause its fairly loose- i pulled out a baby tooth which was pretty loose which i just kept wiggling took about 3 days but got it out. Her being 10yrs old is the reason for the blood work and also being so they no everything would be find before going under so you don't loose them. So iam going to try the string thing with her- lol and I hope this is it- her ears are fine so no ear aches and everything else on her seemed fine so am hoping its just this tooth thats bothering her....

If any of you can offer and suggestions of help Iam more then open to any idea's- just at a total loss with our ferret and I truely hope this baby food will help him.- Do you think the tooth could be causing her head tilt at all?
