My two are fed mainly Arden Grange but also Prize choice poultry necks.
Trouble is they get picky and will leave the AG in the hope of getting more fresh stuff.
Would it be reasonable to increase the fresh in the morning. Then not give anything further, until tea time when they would get AG, I generally use a ball so they have to work for this.
Thanks Karen ;)

I think they are telling you they would prefer a BARF diet!  :-)

LOL...they probably get more of that any way and you are probably quite right.
The only thing is I dont want to get bogged down and obsessive with it, so I am quite happy to use the AG complete, if it means I can relax and not worry about getting it right.

I mix Natures Harvest and BARF and that seems to be acceptable to my dogs.  Have you tried a 'wet' complete as opposed to a kibble?  If you microwave a 'wet' it also brings out the smell/taste and seems to make it more palatable/acceptable.

I hadn't thought of using a 'wet' before.
I like them to work with the ball as they are busy little terriers who like to be busy doing things........helping me with the washing, picking up things to play 'chase me' with! You get the picture?
However at certain times it would be a very useful idea to have some, and so will get some in to try.

My girl eats AG Premium for breakfast and raw in the evening so pretty much what you're talking about. However, for her raw meals I do feed as if she only eats raw so she gets a variety of meats and offal. I also give a little minced veg but that's my personal preference. She loves her AG (she'd rather have that some raw meals! go figure)

You can always shove the Natures Harvest in a Kong so they have to work for it!  If feeling particularly evil, you could freeze it too!  :-0
