Topic Dog Boards / Health / Very Worried About Milo

I took him back to the vet this morning as he is dropping weight fast and his backbone and ribs stick out despite being fed nearly double what he is mean't to have his coat is falling out and looks dull and he is constantly itchy.
The vet has taken bloods and is checking him for Addisons as his heart rate is quite low, Thyroid, cushings (if it points toward that he will then have to have stimulation tests) and also checking his pancreas.
The vet agreed he is very thin and underweight and you know what vets are like regards weight they often say a lean dog is overweight so that will tell you how thin he is getting.
I will have some results early this afternoon but one he has to send off.
Please send Milo all the positive (((vibes))) you can muster, he is only 3 years old and after losing my last two dogs at young ages to auto immune disease I don't want anything to happen to him too.

Sending lots of good luck for Milo & you.
I hope it  turns out to be something that can be managed/treeated with no probs.

Everything crossed here that Milo's condition will be quickly put right - your vet is clearly on the ball here so I'm sure you know he's in good hands :)

Positive thoughts and a few words being said to The Man Upstairs - try not to be over anxious Bev, we're rooting for you both!
Give him a gentle hug from me,

Teri x

Sorry to hear that, hopefully your vet can find the problem and therefore the cure or management.

The tests for Addisons, Cushings and Pancreas have come back clear so thats good.
I just have to wait on the result for the Thyroid as that had to be sent off. I should have it at the end of the week.

Thankyou all so much for your good wishes to the little lad, although i hope it comes back clear, if it does then I just don't know where we go from here
