Right it's that time of the year again, my hangers and pots are pretty much on their last legs, can anyone offer some advice on what I could use that will last till spring or at least for few months, my garden looks so dull without any colour. Lois

How do they cope with frost Donna?  I saw some in B&Q yesterday and they looked so pretty........but delicate!  P.S. Where in Wales are you?

i looked at these in homebase today, big tray for 3.99. How do they cope with the cold weather and frosts? Sorry to be abit dim, i've only really enjoyed pottering about the garden for the past year or so, now i have my own slice away from the doggies!

Have you tried planting pansies, under them snow drops and crocus, when 1 dies off another comes into flower, in pots I do 4 layers, botton tulips or Hyasinth, next dafs, then crocus on top snowdrops. Get rid of that lot by planting in the garden and fill with colourful petunias, fuchais ect can keep them going for ages. Apart from the fact that this year they might drown!! you need something colourful to brighten the winter, plus I love the lenten roses and cant remember their names!!! white ones with delicate purple veins. My cannas were damaged befiore they flowered this year! damn rain.

Also great this year was a small basket of baby toms by the back door, eat them like sweets or in a salad.
