My friends dog got diagnosed yesterday!!  I saw her briefly Sunday, with my dog, she thought her dog had something stuck in its throat.  Its her birthday and Im going to her house tonight, not taking the dog now but just want to be sure there is no risk of the infection spreading through contact via me, Im assuming its only airbourne

Not sure if any of this is helpful or not but I would just make sure you def wash before you touch your dog, cause it sounds alot like how the human cold is transfered. Maybe keep an eye on your dog and have your vet have a look cause better caught sooner then later incase your dog did get it.

Angelz KC is airborne bur can be carried on our clothing for eg if an affected dog sneezes, coughs etc on us and then within a short time frame we are in contact with other dogs.

I always change out of clothes worn at shows or dog clubs asap - better safe than sorry.  The very young, elderly or otherwise health compromised animals are at a high risk of serious secondary infections.

If your dog was in contact with your friends dog while it was infectious (ie even before it started coughing/sneezing) then I'm afraid your dog may already have it :-(

I'd get some Benylin cough medicine in for when/if your dog starts to cough. Oh, and I would be very careful where you walk your dog from now on. Keep it away from anywhere there are large number of dogs just in case he is carrying it. You could start spreading it all round the local dog population. Not something you want to hear, but having had a bitch that caught KC twice in one year I am very careful where mine go now.
