I do not know if I am allowed to make a comment on a thread in the visitors part but Ican't help commenting on the throwing a lead item. Twelve years ago when I had anew Golden retriever pup an ex Guide dog for the blind trainer helped me to train her , a 6 week course. He used this method. Whenever she tried to run too far throw the lead at her to come back . I have never had such an obedient and faithful dog and he was a terrific help to me. Maybe it is an old training method like check chains.
