> I find the dogplay.com list really conflicting and confusing....
same here, infact I am a bit offended by it!! - it says a BYB "Does not reject high-risk buyers: (renters, young people, those with poor track records, low income, other pets, dogs kept outdoors)".
I would not class myself as a 'high-risk' buyer, even though I have 'other pets' & live in a rented house, if a breeder turned me away because of that I would be rather niffed off - a dog does not need a pet-free home that is owned/mortgaged, it needs somebody who understands what they are taking on, can provide the relevent socialisation, training, diet, exercise and stable environment etc.... GRRRRRR :(
Also, I keep my dogs indoors, but there are some breeds that do well outside and if the owner wants keeps them outside (with shelter etc..) what is the big deal?
