Is anybody expecting Finnish Lapphund puppies or Swedish Lapphund puppies?I live in the midlands but transport to them wouldn't be difficult. Please contact me at leannem47@hotmail.com. Thankyou, we really want a puppy of that breed. We have had dificulty so far trying to find a breeder.

I would suggest you get the breed club details from the KC on Tel 0870 606 6750. I beleive that the Swedish and Finnish Laphunds have rather different temperaments, so suggest you visit with them to decide which ones you prefer!

I think the finns are avaiable in more colours, but most often Tricolour or red, and the Swedes are always balck or Dark Brown.

A test drive is the way to go. Arrange to meet someone with several of differing ages and sexes. go for a walk, see how they are with other people or dogs, and how they are off lead. Assess them at home after the initial welcome period. do they go off and lie down or are they constantly on the go? All these things will help in your final choice!

If at all possible also try and visit a family similar to yourself who have one as a pet, to see how they have found their dog.
