Is it possible to find out others whom purchased pups from the same litter?

I ask only because it interests me to find out if the other pups are all in good health...unlike mine?!

Really only if the breeder gives you the information.

If the registrations were transfered with the KC then the new owners names will be in the breed records supplement, but only the names.

I answered your other post but what poor health is she in other than the Pyometra which can happen to any bitch at any age, from any breed from any breeder.

Are you still in touch with the breeder?

Hi liteblue

This is a question i'm interested in, as well as can you find out who owns the stud!

I would have expected to have been given the details for the stud with my puppy.  As said before you need to ask the breeder these things.

I asked for details of the stud with my foundation bitch and started writing to them with pictures of my girl and asking for photos of Dad.

I did the same with the grandparents owners, people (if genuine caring owners/breeders) are usually more than happy to share information about their beloved dogs and find out about their descendants.

I have studs and insist that all new puppy owners get a photo of my boy with my contact details on the reverse. I don't often hear from them unless they are experiencing difficulties, but even then, it is nice to get updates from the new owners on their puppies progress.

If the sickness this bitch is suffering is known to be common in the breed then the breed club will/may be interested, as they will/may be collecting information about the lines this problem occurs in so speak to your breeder and speak to the breed club if you think your bitch has an illness that may be hereditary or congenital.

If it is Pyo then no, that is not either hereditary or congenital and is an infection that a bitch may get following a season just as we can get a cold having been in a crowded space with other people.

Illness brought about by infection cannot be said to be hereditary although it could have been caught from the dam or other dogs in the breeding kennels the same applies to parasites.

If you wish to know about the siblings health because you wish to breed then you should contact the breeder who should be about to give you the information you are seeking.

I could be well wrong here...
If other owners info was given out would that not be a breach of data protection?
Just a thought

You couldnt give out peoples details without their permission. Maybe ask the breeder if they can get the other owners to contact you? You'll have to think up a reason why!

Try googling the kennel afix other people may have posted their new pup on to their website?
