Does anyone have any advice on the dap diffuser. I dont know which to buy. The plug in or the diffuser collar.
Donna x

I bought the collar for my dog but can't say I've noticed a huge difference :-) . I bought the feliway diffuser for my cats and it has made a difference.
We have used the plug in ones previously and after about £50 worth the only difference we noticed was our empty purse! Sorry but i dont rate them much.

totaly agree on that one
i thought they are a waste of money, i bought some anxiety drops that you put on the dogs tongue they definatly helped with fireworks month, i shall be buying them again.
What drops do you use?? Just been to the vet for booster, asked about something for fireworks, he recommended a DAP. They don't give drugs anymore!!
Thanks Aly x
They don't work on all dogs but they aren't going to do any harm if they don't help (other than to your wallet :-) ) I've know a lot of dogs they have helped with things like fireworks etc. I'd probably go for the collar as I've known people whose dogs appeared unaffected by the diffuser but with the collar noticed a big difference.

The drops mentioned are probably scullcap and valerian by dorwest herbs. I use Bachs rescue remedy available at boots. It was recommended on another forum so I tried it for the fireworks last year and it does help. I add a few drops to the drinking water - I started adding at the beginning of october and when its really bad and the dogs are very anxious, I pop a drop on the tongue or rub into their gums.
I use a DAP collar for my hypersensitive dog and it works brilliantly. Haven't found the DAP diffuser as good. It has no effect on one of my other dogs though. So it does work for some and not for others
