Ahhh.................... can I go with the dog finding the babe and taking it to the pups, much soppier ending, to be honest I don't think I would put a babe in with mum and pups the dog could just as easily have seen the babe as prey.

I like happy endings. :-)

Reminds you of the greek tale about the children raised by a dog.
But what a sensible dog to take the baby somewhere warm.

Awww JG that story nearly had me in tears!
Its nice to hear of positive dog stories, I cant find a link but a story recently really made me smile when a young boy had fallen into a lake and 2 dogs, a Rottweiler and a Bullbreed pulled him out to safety :) :)

Oh not Gelert's story. My nain used to tell me it as a bedtime story when I was a kid and I used to cryyy. Its so sad!
