Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Raw chicken question
- By bint [gb] Date 15.08.08 09:14 UTC
Probably sounds a daft question to those of you who feed raw but I've got a chicken intended for roasting (for family) but change of plan means the dogs will get it raw instead. I know many people feed chicken carcasses so I'm assuming it ok but just wanted to check I can just half the chicken & give as it is? I feed raw wings, portions, mince etc but are the little ribs ok?

Yes all the chicken is fine, I used to worry about feeding the legs, not sure why, but once you get used to feeding them half a chicken at a time it becomes the norm just like chicken wings!

Thanks for that. I tend to worry a bit too much where the dogs are concerned.

Probably a daft question but.....do you need to freeze it first?

You don't need to freeze chicken.
