I was there today and it was wet from 10.30 a.m. onwards and it's still pouring now. (I live 20 miles north east of showground) Suggest if your going to take wellies & waterproof jacket just in case - don't wear white trousers & trainers like I did ! Also be prepared for traffic delays through Lyndhurst (allow a extra 20 minutes approx) Good luck to those exhibiting Sunday & Monday.
I was there today too and im glad we went on day 1 as after all the rain i'd hate to be there Monday especially with the bigger dogs as the wet weather rings were a bit naff even for the toy breeds. Did feel for the traders a bit as no one was looking due to the rain (even my 2 dogs left at home didnt get any treats which is most usual)
I hope it dries out for monday but Wellies will be going in car...I think I look VERY fetching in skirt suit and wellies! (Well at least I can't ruin bottoms of trousers!)
So extra packing inclued 4X pairs of wellies, 7X waterproof coats (4 human 3 dog) extra towles and do I even bother with bathing the dogs!?!?!?!?!
Wooliewoo Our ring was too small to move Greyhounds so it was opened out to include the adjoining un-used area. It was really blustery under the marquee and my bitch was pre-occupied watching the ambulence attending to someone just outside.
I thought the wet weather rings weren't bad at all - a little chilly, but much better than the stuffiness of the type that is entirely enclosed in a marquee. Not that we did anything, alas! :-)
