Hi, anyone want a go at this,
Yesterday when the dogs got home Mav did slip on the laminate whilst trying to do at at speed turn to the garden, however i did not notice anything at the time,(though i wasnt looking id like to think i WOULD notice if he was lame after that point), then i was out in the garden With all the dogs running about madley (inc Mav) whilst i was on the phone, we have a small wall which the dogs do ping up & down. Then went inisde, went on PC & when i got up Mav who was beside me got up on three legs.
Its his nearside hind (left back) hes not really putting ANY weight on it at all, He will use it slightly but is quite "toey", When moving & this is just at walk as its sobad hes holding/using it slightly out to the side (ie not Square). I cant decide if its C.ligament, hip, muscle, foot. My initial thought was C lig, but tbh that joint seems REALLY solid, ive held his leg up when hes been lying down & suported that leg on the thigh & the leg/ knee looks good, nice & strong, Ive also tryed to do that "drawer" thing to see if there is any movent, but that seemed really strong too, though i didnt do it with any hard force or anything.
I cant feelany Heat, he did lick the inside of his hock earlier, but only for a second.
any help guys? hes on complete rest now (since last night) thrown a sickie today to be with him, anything else i can "test". Obviously we will be off to he vets. Hes not had any hind limb lameness before, & is a small 22 month old BC. I can toucvh the leg, move it about etc etc with no pain or obejections from him, he will quite happily lie on it & sitting dosent seem a problem,
Cheers!
