I am at my wits end! My puppy is house trained he knows where to wee, but every day he decides to wee on my bed just once in the evening. The problem with my flat is that there are no doors! and the garden is off the bedroom. I have no way of shutting him out and although I move in  2months I cannot put up with this any longer!

He is 7 months old and he hasnt always done this. Im thinking that maybe it is to do with hormones and he needs the snip (which he is having done in 4 weeks). I cant understand this strange behaviour and I just want it to stop!

Can you not put a baby gate across the bedroom entrance? If your pup is housetrained, he should ask to go out and you can take him :)

I cant find a baby gate that will fit! I have put a big bit of wood across at the moment he can push it over if he tries but maybe it will keep him out most of the time. Just have to constantly watch him. I just dont understand why he does it there and no where else. Bearing in mind he sleeps there too. I thought dogs never weed in their own bed, he has done it in his bed too

if he wees on your bed it must still smell of wee to him.  do you use a bio or non-bio washing powder? as I believe it needs to be biological to break down all of the enzymes and get rid of the smell for good. 

At 7 months he is still very much a baby. He might be feeling insecure about something, which is why he is going on your bed. Or he could be starting to mature and is trying to mark his territory (your bed ;-) ) Do you know anyone with a crate that you could borrow until you move? You could try putting him in it just before the times he wees (after taking him outside first) and let him out again just before bedtime as you take him out for his last walk. I would walk him away from home as well, not just in the garden. I have a bitch that would wee on my bed at certain times (seasonal) so I have to keep my bedroom door closed. As you can't do this yet I realise that's not an option.

A baby gate across the door would be a good idea so you can manage the situation and prevent him going in there un supervised.  It could be that something unsettled him and he's feelinhg a bit insecure, it could be that it's become a habit. You can get pressure mounted gates so they fit a variety of door widths, if the still don't reach then you could put a piece of wood inside the door frame and it will be held in place by the pressure gate.  Lindam do them and you can get them from Argos.

Exactly what I have with pads of wood to make fit :) you can actually get extenders to make fit properly, but i'm a make do kinda gal :-D

vinegar as well apparently. we use dit when tio started widdling everywhere and he stopped it.

Hmm, missed that bit. I would personally not have him snipped until he is fully grown. Especially if you haven't got his housetraining sorted out. He needs all his hormones to finish growing properly. There are so many dogs (and bitches) that have neutered too early, leaving them leggy and withsome mental problems. Think of a 7 YEAR old puppy and you get an idea ;-) The bones are still growing, and if a pup is done too soon you could be mucking up their development. I'd leave neutering for another couple of months, at the earliest.

All neutering really does is to stop an animal breeding.
