Does anyone else have a dog that LOVES to watch TV ??

Our Cavalier Gypsy is obsessed by the TV and always watches it...if any animal comes on to the TV she goes ballistic and jumps up and scratches at the TV !! Her favourites are horses and other dogs. It is quite funny but makes watching my fave doggie programmes a bit tricky!

I took her to meet my friends new puppy on Sunday and the adverts came on with a dog on, she did it to Helen's TV as well, so it's not just in her own home that she does it !!

Anyone else got a similarly mad dog ?

Totally!  My male Stafford, Alf.  Loves to watch absolutely any animal on TV.  But also anything with a ball, especially golf!  Strange boy :-)

Oh yes, my 2 OES love TV.  They particularly like Monkey World on Animal Planet.  And god help anyone in their way when they hear the signature tune to Corrie!

Both my little dogs love Animal Planet.  Any time they hear a dog bark they both run up to the TV and start barking back, my boy even looks round the back to see where they are. Animal cops Houston and Mounted branch are particular favourites.  My bigger dogs couldn't care less.

my golden sits watching all animals on tv,then looks behind tv when they go out of sight looking for them.

My mastiff likes wildlife documentaries, especially if there is Lions! He will also watch anything if he hasn't heard that sound before, ie, an unusual tone of voice.

Delilah doesnt watch much, but Zorro is a telly fan. He likes wildlife programmes like countryfile, dog programmes and stuff like "you've been framed" :-)

Two of mine only watch if there's animals on there, they love one man and his dog (welsh) and when the woolies disappear off screen they make to go looking then stop and look all embarassed LOL  they also love wildlife programmes esp Meercat Manor :-D

The youngest Lola, LOVES men singing - opera is her favourite   she'll sit and her head tilts all shapes, little ears as far forwards as a Bedlington can manage :-D  she also loves classical music, the proms has been a real treat for her :-D   she got a bit carried away watching Wimbledon and went running to look for the ball - silly girly! :-D

I can sometimes be quite intrigued when my boy watches tv.  It looks adorable when he seems to be concentrating on a program.  He particularly likes animal programs and loved Send In The Dogs when he watched it a couple of weeks ago.  I am very sad (in the embarrassing way!!) and leave on Animal Planet for him when I go out!

:) My orange and white Annabelles ( pictured ) fav programme is also Meercat Manor, but anything with animals or anything at all of interest really, she also looks behind the TV to see where the critters have gone, but does not have the sense to be embarrassed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a TV addict as well. My DDB loves nothing better than a nice evening meal, out to relieve himself then goes over to the TV and presses his nose on the screen snorting till I turn it on. He then settles on the couch and spends the evening watching TV.Animal programs warrent a closer look and I can just about manage to see the four corners of the screen. I have to turm it off to get him to go to bed, and then he has to take one last look at the screen just to make sure lol

One of mine doesn't watch TV but she runs round round the back of the TV when we switch it off looking for where the people have gone.

One of mine jumps up at the T.V when she sees another dog on the screen.

One of my dogs loves to watch anything that moves quick or makes a whistle nose, with his head usually cocking from one side to the other.  The other dont seem to know it exists and just stare at us instead as if to say play with me. :)

My old girl's eye sight and hearing is a bit shot now but she used to enjoy watching football or anything similar ie a plain background like a pitch with small easily distinguished people or objects moving about so Crufts was a favourite too but only the big ring finals :-)

Mine likes watching animals on the telly, but is a pain if there are dogs barking on a programme, as he woofs back at them!! The cat is a true telly addict, he'll happily sit through a whole film, his favourite is American Graffitti :-)
