if you dont allready no.
in oct 07 my dog had both his back legs operating on. me personally i dont think they were that bad and could only tell he had any lameness at all in one. but i wanted what was best for him and had the op anyway. i went to what was described to me as the best in the uk and the man operating was one of a kind
by xmas i noticed one leg had healed fine (obviously the one i did not even no he had a problem in) i kept ringing and taking him the long journey to be told that my dog was fine and i felt like they virtually told me to not bring him back as he was fine.
anyway after trailing down twice and being told there was nothing the matter i decided to leave it. since then he had limped i would say nearly every long walk he goes on. a long walk i would class as running rather than him just plodding along. to watch my 2 year old springer struggle so much every time he is out is pitiful to watch, especially when i have a 1 year old who he just wants to play with and keep up with.
i finally decided to return to vets and tell him i think his leg was worse than it was before to be shouted and i virtually left in tears , in my eyes how would he no he is not the one that sees him every day. he told me it sounded like i restricted his exercise which i dont at all. and that when he limps just carry on. what am i ment to do drag my dog around the field. he also said that it sounded like i had a problem with the way he looked rather than what the problem was ( meaning just cos he walks with a limp dont mean it is causing him problems) sayin there was no pain in his leg so just let him limp. well in that case why did i pay 2 grand to get the op. i left with metacam which is a pain relief so in my eyes if he is not in pain why give him metacam and if he is not in pain why does he limp in the first place.
soory for the long story but i reallly need some help and advice as to were to go from here. does this sound right to you. should my dog still limp???????
