i am looking at two pedigrees which are close with one dog poping up 3 times in the pedigree.
another  a bitch 4 times

he may be a gran sire on one side
then a great gran sire one the of side and g g gran sire
then a friend work out on breed mate it will be 26% relationship out of a 100%

about the hip/eyes on both the dam /sire i would like to use are good, dam producted good eyes/hip in her last 2 litters.

any help out there.

I think it's too close but more than likely your bitch is from different lines so may not be so bad.

Three boys had short tails and Moby must have been one vertebrae short or has the trait as he's produced short tailed pups!

Dad 11 hipscore, mum wasn't hipscored as this was a time when the breed wasn't being done!  All of her pups now have been around the breed average or a bit lower.  At almost 15 mum is still running around and has great movement.  She has no problems getting up from a lying down position etc. and I'm sure if she did have severe HD that she would be showing signs at two months short of 15 years :d :d

The "recurring" dog & bitch (for want of a better expression) - are there any problems in their lines that you know of?  If there are then you have your answer (well I think)
