Hi there

We have just won a 15k bag of Cobbydog lamb and rice.  It is not something that has really had any mention much here and I wondered if anyone had experience of the food.

Thanks.

£25 for 15kg is that cheap?

That sounds mid price range to me.  I spend £24 per bag on my dogs food (Skinners Salmon and Rice) without any problems with either of my breeds.

Yes, Nova, it is cheap.  Arden Grange and other similar quality complete foods are around £35 for the same size bag.  Sounds like I need to mix small amounts in with my usual food AG Salmon.

i won that exact same one at a show a last month then the week after won another sack of it! i decided not to feed it to my two,but thats only because i wanted them to stick with what they are already on.i took it to my local rescue center, they were very happy indeed with it :-) the owner even commented that it makes such a change for people to donate a much better quality food than the very very cheapy ones, good deed for the week done! lol :-) i even took a few of the rescue dogs for a walk while i was there too

I did not say it was a top range food but it is certainly not at the bottom of the pile, yes it has beat in it but otherwise it looks a good middle of the road food and a good deal better than some.

If you go on the breeder/professional user scheme the food is much cheaper than that.

Or even on ebay. I'm finding that even cheaper than the breeder scheme at the moment, if you pick the ones with free postage.

Tried his one.  My dogs hated it, one of only a few foods they have ever completely refused.  Even when mixing it with the old food they would eat around it.

I think they like me to spend too much on their food! :)

I'd say it's overly expensive for a bag of cheap grains and by-products

Ingredients
Rice, Barley, Lamb. Meat and bone meal, Lamb fat.
