I have to visit my dad this Sunday, it's been planned for a while and I was going to take my two dogs with me.  There's now been a change of circumstances his end which means that's no longer possible.

I thought the most sensible thing would be to take the dogs with me and just pop them in a local kennels for the day.  That way I can pick them up as soon as we leave dad's and they don't have to stay in the night (which is what would have to happen if I used the kennels near my home).  I don't need somewhere that will walk them, as I should have time to do this myself at either end of the day, but kennels that can offer this service are usually quite good places.  I don't want one of those soulless barns where everything is swilled down with jeyes fluid and is permanently wet...

It's short notice so I expect I'll need to ring round but can anyone recommend a good kennels between Warminster and Salisbury A36.  Pref Wylye Valley area.  Thank you

No worries now - I've booked them in at my regular kennels and will just have to be without them for a night.  I hate that though as we'll be at home by 8pm looking at their empty spaces!!  That's the trouble with Sundays; most places shut by 4pm...

I'm not surprised no one had any recommendations - there don't seem to be many kennels near Salisbury at all.  I found only one with a website and the sort of facilities I'd be hoping for but it was too far the other way for us.  If I had a mind to move and open a business that's where I'd start looking!!
