Hi guys, Im prob going to be shot down here but here goes.  I currently feed my three shih tzus on pedigree chum complete as I found thats the pnly one they would touch.  I have just got a nefie pup which was feed on beta puppy food.  I was looking in pets at home today at the various foods and the sales assistant came over and asked if I had tried the new pets at home complete dog food.  He said it was compared to most complete dog foods they sold and came out as one of the top ones and said it was better then the beta and pedegree chum.  Does any one know if this is true?  As is there a dog food comparison website yet lol.  I just want the best for my dogs and woud be greatfull if anyone can help?

I understand that pedigree complete is the biggest seller here, far and above all other brands.

PAH own brand is better then the lieks of beta and pedigree.

The adut chicken is 24% fresh chicken which arrives at the manufactures as fresh, chilled, minced chicken.  (Compared to beta which is 4% animal dervitives)

It is of a similar league to eukanuba, proplan etc.

It is also great because it will be on offer over most bank holiday weekends! :-D  It also has a money back gaurentee so if your dog doesn't like it, or it doesn't suit the dog, you can get a full refund by returning the goods! :)  I wouldn't say it comes out "top" but it sure comes out good!  Ask the sales assitant to show you the ingreedients list and compare to beta and pedigree and don't be afraid to ask them what some things are. :)

Do you mind me asking how much this retails at?

website says 31.99
- By ice_queen Date 19.07.08 07:08 UTC
as said big bags are now £31.99.

Quite often though you can get kg free or the small bags on BOGOF or 3 for 2!  Think they are £7.99 each but don't quote me as I think there has been a price increase recently soon after I left the compny.

Just remember, on some offers itt's cheeper to buy lots of small bags :)  I've worked it out many times for customers. :)

Ooh I've never thought of that! Just always presumed that with the amount I go through it is always cheaper to buy big bags. Thanks for that.:-)

It is cheeper, unless the smaller bags are on offer and big bag's arn't! :-D  But like I said before it's on offer over most bank holidays (runs from friday before till thursday after) and also every 2-3 months it will go on offer normally!

It's not just dog food either!  Have a look next time you go shopping and sometimes it works out cheeper to buy smaller packs of anything!

hi new on here but the best food imho is orijen dog food which is now available in the UK through zooplus.co.uk 70percent meat 30 veg and fruit, comparing ingredients really shows up how poor the dog food is in the UK. i have fed my first dog on pets at home and beta in the past with out looking at what went into them, now i am more aware i would not feed these to mine. However i can understand about how much dog food can cost so out of the 2 pets at home is better

hi all
i would stay clear of all ped chum foods as it is full of salt and food colourings . if feeding dogs on this you might as well give them 2 big mac meals as this is the same . FULL OF SALT NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS.

There is no single perfect food because every dog is an individual organism with an individual metabolism. What's perfect for one might make another seriously ill.
