i have 2 young pup dogs they have a kennel and a big run attatched but in the day i leave the door  to the run             open so they are free to come and go as they please Am i doing right as i have been told  not to let them run around  as they will run there bone off. They are 12 weeks old and are show bred and if good enough may be shown
Should i keep them in the run all the time or not?

Hi Welshie,

Our puppies always have free exercise - not confined to a run and have never "run their bone off"! Our adults have masses of bone.  Bone is bred, not made!  With free exercise as opposed to forced exercise, they will crash out and sleep when tired.  In my opinion, carry on as you are doing.
