Which one is better for pups? can they be given to mum before she whelps or only after?

I am definitely no expert as this was our first time but we have used nutrolac and I am very pleased with it, no runs from the pups and Mum loves it too.
We gave it with the eukanuba to our bitch before to tempt her to eat as she got very fussy just before the pups were born....no such problems now though!

I've ordered Nutrolac from Berriewood - it's coming tomorrow.  My pups have been loose on Lactol and Welpi, so I'm hoping this will sort things as it is goats milk based.  That doesn't really answer your question does it lol because I've never tried Skinners!  I think what I'm trying to say is that I personally would steer away from cow's and towards goat's milk.  I have heard much better reports all round recently on goat's.

Not tried Skinners but as other posters have said Nutrolac has presented no problems for us.  It's also very easy to mix 50g to 1 pint water.

We often give it as a treat to our olders dogs with no adverse affects.

We are planning to wean our pups onto it mixed with initially baby rice and then the Eukanuba starter food they have just launched. 

My friend used Nutrolac with Royal Canin Starter and her pups did well with the Nutrolac.

Shop around though as prices do vary.

I have been very pleased with Nutrolac, prior to that I was very happy with Litterlac, I found Skinners gave my pups the runs by 6 weeks..

Iv always used whelpi then seen both nutrolac and skinners on berriewoods website, iv heard so many good things about nutrolac i will give it a try
