Does anyone know if research has been done on dogs vocabulary? Im just curious as ours know many words. I mention chewey bars (dental sticks) or piggly ears and they head for the correct cupboard or here in the office, shelf where there kept never the wrong cupboard. The obvious walkies etc, eat your dinner, go see ect... But how many words can they learn? I know I have too much time on my hands today (waiting for the vet to call re Jake) but if anyone could point me to a link I would be grateful,,  im dying here!! dare not leave the phone and OH has phoned twice as he is at a conference and its his "poor Jakie baby" (I heard him this morning!!)
