Can anyone tell me what this means, I know it's the equivalent to our CC's, I've just come back from the world show and asked several people over there and surprisingly no one could tell me,

Thank you

Barbara

This refers to shows under international rules, puppies cannot get a CACIB  international certificate award the dog needs to be over 15 months of age and and must be graded excellent.

Where a dog under 15 monthd of age wins a green star  national certificate they must award the CACIB to another suitable dog that meets the criterea.

In Europe you have national and international shows and CACIB's are awarded in international shows.
A dog needs 4 CACIB's from 3 different countries under at least 3 different judges to become an international champion.
I think the rules of how you make a champion of a certain country varies depending of the rules of that country...

It means;

Certificat d'aptitude au Championnat
and
Certificat d'aptitude au Championnat International de Beauté
(Certificate of Aptitude for International Champion of Beauty)

thank you for the reply and the full explanation of the CACIB, but my goodness the judging in Europe is so confusing, I think I'll stay here.
