Dogs like humans can have allergies which could lead to anaphalatic shock. However as your dog has been eating them this shouldn't be an issue, but in moderation only.Macadamian nuts though are dangerous to dogs as they can lead to weakness and an inability to stand.Make sure your dog chews the nuts properly as they could cause choking or an intestinal blockage in worse case scenerio.

Thanks.That's interesting about the macadamias.

Ours eat peanuts, Whistler has perfected nicking them off the bird table by knocking it over!! Jake then helps him polish them off, unless I catch them at it!!

I also stop Mol from eating nuts just in case she does get them stuck & choke!! Although to be honest anything she eats doesn't touch the sides - typical lab!  Do the nuts have the same nutritional benefit for dogs?  I'm permanently snacking on sunflower seeds & walnuts at the moment!

I feed my brood on Barf and mix i  couple of teaspoons of mixed linseed/flax  white sunflower seeds, etc when i process their veggies.
